Terms and Conditions — Submissions to the First Fridays Exhibition Series
Welcome to the Not Real Art Submission Series for First Fridays, a rolling online exhibition platform hosted by Crewest Studio in partnership with Arterial. By submitting your artwork, you agree to these terms, which ensure artists retain full ownership of their intellectual property while granting us a limited license for promotion and display.
Intellectual Property Rights
Artists retain all rights, title, and interest in their submitted artwork, including copyright and moral rights. We do not claim ownership or transfer of IP; you confirm sole authorship and authority to grant the license below.
Grant of License
You grant Not Real Art, Crewest Studio, and Arterial a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, irrevocable license to reproduce, display, distribute, and promote your artwork on our websites (notrealart.com, arterial.org), social media, podcasts, interviews, and promotional materials for this exhibition series. This includes featuring artists in First Fridays highlights to boost visibility.
Permitted Uses
The license covers digital display on websites, social media posts, podcast episodes, artist interviews, email newsletters, and promotional graphics. We may crop or resize for formatting but will not alter content substantively without permission. No commercial sales of prints or merchandise without separate agreement.
Artist Representations
You warrant the artwork is original, does not infringe third-party rights, and you have no restrictions on granting this license. Submitted works must be high-resolution images (min 300 DPI) of 2D/3D art; no collaborations unless all parties consent.
Submission Process
Use our Paperform submission form for rolling entries, tied to First Fridays events. Selections are editorial; no entry fee, but limited spots per month. Provide bio, statement, and 3-5 images. We notify via email; non-selected works receive no response.
No Compensation
Submission and selection confer no payment, stipend, or reimbursement. Benefits include exposure via our network reaching thousands of collectors, curators, and enthusiasts.
Termination and Removal
You may request removal anytime by emailing submissions@notrealart.com; we remove within 10 business days. License persists for existing promotions but no new uses post-removal.
Liability and Indemnity
We disclaim liability for submissions; use at own risk. You indemnify us against IP claims from your work. Governing law: California, USA.
Changes to Terms
We may update terms with notice on site; continued submissions imply acceptance.
